What's New in June?

Here’s a rundown of the latest product improvements at Silverbird.
At Silverbird, we're focused on making international business payments inclusive by building a modern alternative to traditional banking tailored to international trade. We help merchants worldwide to participate in the global economy. You can start onboarding at any time on our website.
We’ve reduced the number of mandatory documents for UK-based companies
If your company is based in the UK, you do not need to upload heaps of documents. This doesn't mean we’re somehow less risk-averse than other banking service providers, no. We care about our customers’ safety as much as anyone else. It is simply easier for us to run compliance checks using open sources and we use data-driven AI technology to do just that.

Previously, all companies had to upload at least five mandatory documents when they were going through onboarding.

Now, we have simplified this process for UK-based companies. If your entity is based in the UK, all you would need to upload are two mandatory documents:
  1. Proof of Incorporation,
  2. Proof of registered address.

The UK is only the first step and in the near future, we will be rolling out this customization to other countries soon.
Small UI improvements
Apart from that, we’ve made some minor UI tweaks in the onboarding process that make navigating this process a bit easier. It involves listing countries you’re planning to transact money with and choosing your transaction volumes.
